We stayed for a week in a cabin along Icicle Creek in Leavenworth, Washington. The east-facing peaks of the Cascades, still snowcapped, contrasted with the lush, new green at the lower elevations. Everyday, we hiked--in the towering forests, along rushing creeks and rivers, to a glacial lake, through alpine meadows filled with spring flowers. I drew less than usual because I felt flu-y for the first 3 days.
Wow, Marcia, you're making great use of your time! These are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe Watercolor Artist article gave me renewed verve and confidence to keep on keeping on with my limited paint box and a media I've found difficult. So, again, Cathy, thank you for that.
DeleteAnd so pleased that you like my result here.
Well good! If you find it difficult it certainly doesn't show!
DeleteGlad you were feeling better and did these marvelous drawings!
ReplyDeleteFeeling blah with great views isn't bad. It was just frustrating for those 1st few days to not feel compelled or able to catch an imprint of the grandeur. So I'm thankful for coming to and getting what I could.
DeleteThanks so much Barbara that you like!
All nice captures. Love the mountains.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dave! You'd probably love to ski in those mountains.
DeleteMarcia, These sketches are beautiful! m
