I just returned from a round trip excursion from Saint Paul's Union Depot to New York City via Amtrak's
Empire Builder and
Lake Shore Limited. Amtrak is a great way to see and sketch our part of the country. I particularly like sketching midwesterners and the folks passing through. Here's a few sketches from my journal.

What a journey! I haven't been on Amtrak for about 15 years, but I'd like to again...great sketches!
ReplyDeleteLove how you captured the trip. I love to ride Amtrak, too! Wilma and I went from Chicago to Glacier N.P. on the train. Tried sketching along the way and never noticed how train movement made sketching tough (for me). Loved the Lounge car the the Observation car. Wish planes had seats as large as Coach seating.
