I waited while Joseph went in to get more cutting board countertop for the house we're rehabbing...it was a lovely rainy day. I added the wet reflections at home!
The splatter on the wet, reflective pavement really gives this one pzaz. I’m with you sister: count me out when it comes to shopping unless for necessities (like food). I really admire how non-judgemental you are with your choice of subject matter: national chainstore with prefab sheds (that could be anywhere in the USA) to unique, architect designed KS Art Center. You shine your personal vision and skillful hand and all that you draw becomes interesting, pertinent, and visually alive.
I like art supply stores, bookstores (sometimes), and hardware stores (sometimes), but not for very long! My sweetie prefers to sketch sweeping vistas. We don't get there often, so I sketch what's in front of me--and thank you!

ReplyDeleteOnly you could make Home Depot garden sheds look this good, Kate. Something to aspire to. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe rain and all that color helped, Larry!
ReplyDeleteHow beautifully colorful and WET!! You make anything look so interesting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, sweetie, it WAS wet! And they were so colorful, they were indeed interesting.
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are always lovely and I look forward to them but your boundless energy and super projects just leave me in shock and awe! You rock!
ReplyDeleteStunning, Kathy, just stunning. Water and its reflections are always such a powerful motif in art. Love this.
