From yesterday's sketchcrawl at Bass Pro Shops, Independence, MO. Given that the outside temp was over 100, it was nice to be "outdoors" while inside in the air conditioning! Journal entry in ink & watercolor.

  2. It was so good to see you and Bill! And thank you for the donation to the Watercolor Museum! I need to get that photographed and into the set on Flickr...

  3. You're welcome! When I realized the age, the Watercolor Museum was my first thought.
I added color to the pages I sketched . . . and quickly wished I had not! The landscape was much better left in ink alone. I could take lessons from Joseph on minimalism.

  4. I've got some very cool things in the museum...and I did get the photos shot today, they turned out well!

It IS hard to stop...and that landscape was gorgeous. Please post it here!

  5. The landscape is no longer gorgeous -- a horrid paint job. You can see it here:

I posted it to show how bad I can mess up . . . and hopefully learn from it.

  7. Thanks for the encouragement! I tried sponging off some of the color, though I used staining pigments in the mixes. I may post it later today on Flickr.
