Sounds like watercolor sketching. When do our ventures with it ever go quite as planned? But even in bits and pieces, what you've done is quite lovely!
Love your Finn Bits - I was trying to draw my 9 month old grandson this morning and finally gave up. I can really appreciate what you've accomplished with five sketches!
This is a wonderful post! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! I hope to read more of your post which is very informative and useful to all the readers. I salute writers like you for doing a great job! Fun Backpackers Melbourne
But it's a lovely spread! The Finn sketches in particular work really well, but the whole things hangs together beautifully, despite your frustrations with the day. Next time with pals (I can recommend the Tea Party idea!)x
I loved your tea party! We DO always finish up at one of the local restaurants or bistros and share sketches, food, and drink. And thank you much, Lynne, I was trying to tie everything together with harmonious color, since the subjects and mediums were all so different.

ReplyDeleteThank you! Finn's a cute little boy, and it was his 5th birthday celebration.

ReplyDeleteI just kept following him around...and he was playing with his new toys, so that helped!

ReplyDeleteI particularly like the dinosaur gripping the frame of the sketch of the buildings.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ruca, he was fun (and Finn loved him.)
DeleteGreat job of pulling all the bits and pieces together into a dynamic spread!
